Use of this website
This website is provided to give information about our charitable work and to enable you to make donations in support of that work. You may use this website for lawful purposes only and in accordance with these terms.
You must not use this website in any way that causes, or may cause, damage to the website or impairment of its availability or accessibility; in any way that is unlawful, illegal, fraudulent or harmful; or in any way that involves the transmission of unsolicited commercial communications.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of this website, the server on which it is hosted, or any server, computer or database connected to this website.
We reserve the right to restrict or remove access to this website at any time and without notice, including where we reasonably believe you have breached these terms.
Donations
Donations made through this website are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. on our behalf. By making a donation, you confirm that: (a) you are the authorised holder of the payment method used; (b) the funds are your own; and (c) you are aged 18 or over, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
All donations are made voluntarily and are non-refundable once processed, except where required by law. If you believe a donation has been taken in error — for example due to a technical fault or an unauthorised transaction — please contact us at info@newarkrugbyfoundation.org as soon as possible, providing your name, the amount and the date of the transaction. We will investigate and respond within 10 working days.
We are committed to using all donations in furtherance of our charitable objects as set out in our governing document. Unless we have expressly agreed otherwise with you in writing, we cannot guarantee that your donation will be applied to a specific programme, project or activity.
We will issue a donation acknowledgement by email where you have provided an email address. This acknowledgement does not constitute a tax receipt for Gift Aid purposes; Gift Aid declarations are administered separately.
Gift Aid
If you choose to make a Gift Aid declaration, you confirm that: (a) you are a UK taxpayer; (b) you have paid or will pay an amount of Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that all charities and community amateur sports clubs (CASCs) to which you donate will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year; and (c) you are responsible for paying any difference if you pay less tax than the amount reclaimed.
If your tax circumstances change and you no longer pay sufficient tax to cover the Gift Aid claimed on your donations, you must notify us promptly so that we can update our records. You can do this by contacting us at info@newarkrugbyfoundation.org.
Gift Aid declarations and associated donor records are retained for 7 years from the end of the relevant tax year in accordance with HMRC requirements.
